it depends.
Older Suede would be ruined.
Some newer suede has some protection from water.
you might need to contact the manufacturer to find out which kind you have.
Would the rain affect black knee high suede boots?
Yes as they are suede.
Reply:Go back to where you bought them or any good shoeshop and buy the protective spray.
I bought some and wore them clubbing all the time....mine were platforms, so if the bottoms got wet it didnt soak through to my foot, but the suede starts comming off on the bottom around the platform, so spray lots around the bottom before every wear!
Reply:yes, buy a water repelant for suede and u will be ok.
good luck
Reply:Yes it will ruin them.
Reply:who would wear those anyway? ugh
Reply:im not sure, but to prevent any damage, go to the shoe store and buy a water-proof spray to keep them from getting wet.
Reply:It will only ruin them if you go out in the rain when you are wearing the boots.
Reply:rain and suede are not friends...don't wear them out in the rain.
Reply:yep...they're suede hun...water messes them up really bad, and dont buy those suede waterproof protector, itz scam!
Reply:It depends I suppose torrential rain might, you need to get some spray to protect them and try not to get them too wet.
Reply:Try spraying them with shoe water repelent before you go out in wet weather.
Reply:I had some a couple of years ago. I brought some suede protector from scholl and it worked a treat. Went clubbing in them and to muddy music festivals. The only damage was on the lower part of the boot, but god did I take them to hell and back. Still got them actually. Buy the protector from where you bought the boots and hopefully if you do get water marks you can take them back and get a refund?
Reply:yes!
