Is boot camp different in the winter?

I am going to air force basic training in December, and I want to know if things are done differently in the winter, because of cold weather or rain. Any comments in general from people who have gone to basic in the winter are great.

Hah. Depends were your basic is gonna be. I went to basic in the summer at Relaxin' Jackson, South Carolina. So we had heat categories to worry about. But unless you do your basic up here in alaska, which you wont, lol, you'll probly have to grin and bear it. (We still do PT Tests outside up here in weather down to -22, anything below is a safety risk and PT is held indoors.)
Reply:Chairforce goes to San Antonio dont they? That must be pretty hot, not hot but fairly mild since i live in the midwest it would be a blessing, in July i go to San Diego, try that one
Reply:you'll be fine , your going to San Antonio winter is like 45 or 50 degrees. Plus when you get leave you dont have to worry about my boys(and girls ) from Ft Sam harassing you at the RiverWalk. I heard the medic AIT there doesn't allow the IET soldiers off post anymore. If thats true I know why( some of the stories I was there for).
Reply:If you're in a cold part of the country.
Reply:Well depends on where your basic it but most likely things will be done pretty much the same. As with the summer time there are special circumstances that would make it so outside training cannot be conducted. I went to army basic training in the winter time in Missouri and was very glad that I did. By the time I graduated it was hot and muggy and I was sure glad to not be running around the middle of the forrest in that heat.
Reply:yea dude its in texas at lackland. wont be too cold. im going there this feb and im looking forward to cutting the new england winter short.
