So this year I got a cute pink pair from Target as soon as they came in stock and so far the kids and I have had some good fun puddle splashing on rainy days.

What size should you buy rain boots??
I wear a 7 1/2, but they're selling only full sizes. Should I buy 7 or 8?? I'm buying them online, so i can't try em on thanks! oh and if anyone sees any cuteeee black ones online (printed/patterned) please let me know! Under $30 please. 10 points for best answer!
What size should you buy rain boots??
Never get a size smaller than your actual size! I work at a shoe store and I would always recommend the bigger size if the shoe doesn't come in a half size. Why? If you get the half size smaller, it may hurt your feet by the end of the day. You're feet tend to be swollen by the end of the day, and a shoe that's smaller than your actual size would not help you nor your feet for a long term. If it is kind of big for you, you can always try putting an insole. The insole prevents your feet from slipping to the front of the shoe. Also, with insoles, the actual insoles of the shoe will not get dirty nor will your sweat absorb within the actual insoles which causes your shoe to sometimes have a bad odour. With insoles, you are able to change them to prevent bad feet odour and any time of fungul produce on your feet.

Otherwise, everyday life...not very practical, or comfortable, they have a basic shape to them, it doesn't look like they offer any kind of arch support...you might as well wear flip-flops with some plastic bags to protect your ankles...they'd offer the same kind of support and protection, but cost about $130 less.

Dude...I feel your pain. I've been looking quite literally everywhere online for yellow wellies. The closest I've come is the expensive (but totally worth it due to the quality) Hunter Originals. Unfortunately, I am a mens's size 12 (and due to the rather snug fit in the calf of Hunters I have to take them in a 13), so I was limited to choices of black, navy, forest green and brown, or by going to zappos.com I managed to find merlot (burgundy) and red. I opted for the red so I could stand out in the crowd a little, but I was disappointed that I could not get my size in yellow. (Hunters are unisex size but the other colors they make, which include yellow, only run up to a mens' size 9, which they market as a womens' 10). I actually contacted a Hunter rep via email and was told that they don't offer the other colors in larger sizes due to lack of demand. So if you can squeeze into a size 9 and are willing to drop 100 clams on rain boots, then go to zappos. Otherwise, you're out of luck I'm afraid, unless you'd prefer those bulky yellow pvc overshoes that you see contstrucition workers %26amp; road crew guys wear - you can get those at Farm %26amp; Fleet for like 20 bucks.

Where do you get rain-boots in Toronto?
I wear size 5, 6, or 7 shoes women sizes- size 4 or 5 kids.
I want creative, waterproof, one-of-a-kind ones!

It depends on the style of rainboot. If you wear traditional boots (the calf-high style), then no, you'd wear them alone and carry your shoes. If they are "overboots or overshoes" then you wear them over the shoes.

I just purchased a pair, and they only come in whole sizes. I have a half an inch of room, but it is just enough to be noticeable and flop about inside when I walk. The size below feels better, but it isn't even the size of my other shoes, like literally, I measured them. So if I wore those smaller ones it wouldn't be like the size I was used to wearing. you should def buy them! they are wicked cute and really fun. There are so manny different patterns to chose from, and not only are they attractive but they like you said, prevent getting your pants soaked and nasty. they dont look goofy and they are actually pretty in style right now.

I want to stand out and be the only one with my designed boots but i have no idea what will last on boots...sharpies? acrylic?

How do I wear flared jeans with rain boots?
As lame as this sounds...I finally got my first pair of rainboots last night (after kindergarten). Anyway, my boots are the kind that don't have any buckles on them to adjust the size and I only own flared jeans. Am I supposed to squish my jeans in the boots or should I fold them up? I personally like to have it tucked it but it takes so much effort and at the end, my jeans kinda scrunch up to my knees. =\

Do you adore bright rain boots or would you laugh if I wore them?
I want bright rainboots with polka dots or critters on them for rainy days, to just stay dry plus make a statement. Do you like this style, why or why not? Would you laugh if I wore them to school? ok seriously- in NYC you LIVE for rainboots. Its the only way to avoid getting your pants and feet wet when the main mode of transportation here is walking.
If you are in any other city it may not be as popular but thats ok. Who cares what other people think. You may want to reconsider wearing them for long periods of time (for fashion vs rainy days) as they really arent fitted with arches and pads to support your feet and they will get soar quickly.
For the record mine are cream witha blue, green and orange plaid!

IT WORKS!!! AIR IT OUT AND PLACE A FABRIC SOFTENER SHEET INSIDE IT! THE SMELL IF GONEEEEEEEEE!!

Reply:mix baking soda, baby powder and corn starch together and rub it all over the boots, then let it sit over night.
Reply:Gasoline, just brush it onto the boots and the gas smell should overpower the rubber.
Reply:Rub the rubber parts with vanilla extract, then put some vanilla on a paper towel and put inside the boot overnight.
Reply:febreeze will destroy the rubber. let them sit outside for a while, maybe a couple hours at the least, but make sure it's in the shade, or the strong sun might wear away the color. Good luck. (:

Reply:mix baking soda, baby powder and corn starch together and rub it all over the boots, then let it sit over night.
Reply:Gasoline, just brush it onto the boots and the gas smell should overpower the rubber.
Reply:Rub the rubber parts with vanilla extract, then put some vanilla on a paper towel and put inside the boot overnight.
Reply:febreeze will destroy the rubber. let them sit outside for a while, maybe a couple hours at the least, but make sure it's in the shade, or the strong sun might wear away the color. Good luck. (:

I collect wellie boots and wear them often for my weekend jobs. Target and Walmart do have a great range of patterns and colors for cheap, but to be honest, they are not quite as good on the details as some designer labels. I wear my rainboots from Target if I need to look cool but am at risk of finding myself all messy!
On the other hand, Burberry, Thomas Pink and Pucci make poppin wellies but charge a big markup for their brand prestige.
A couple of brands that have super-cute patterns that I collect are designers Jeffrey Campell and Tamara Henriques ... you can get both at dllrainwear.com. The original Hunter Wellies come in several great shades and colors ... they're very hip right now with the "in" set in New York City and London. I've listed all the websites below.

It's practical, but will I look stupid? I've seen girls do it. And also, it doesn't make you slide right (I'm sure that's the whole purpose of a rubber rain boot, to not make you slide), but still.. lol
